Retiring CAS Application Configurations
When CSRs and Application owners identify a CAS configuration that can be retired, they may use the link below to formally request the IAM team to disable the configuration.
Step 1: Submit an SSO application retirement request
Submit an SSO Application Retirement Request in ServiceNow for the CAS IdP. Please include the Service Name/Entity IDs and which authentication protocol the application is configured under that you would like removed. (Note: Some applications may have been migrated to a different protocol and the previous application configuration needs to be cleaned up.)
Step 2: Validate
As soon as an IAM engineer finishes step one of the request and sends notice via the ServiceNow ticket that the applications are disabled, verify there are no negative impacts and reply to the ServiceNow ticket to confirm that the IAM engineer can proceed with deleting the applications.
Step 3: Retirement complete
An IAM engineer will delete the retired application(s) from the CAS IdP after receiving confirmation. If no confirmation is received, they will delete the applications one week after disabling them.
